Xvive MD1
Wireless MIDI System
The XVive MD1 Wireless MIDI System adds wireless Bluetooth MIDI transmission and reception functionality to music equipment with MIDI DIN connectors. The MD1 can be used to send MIDI information to, or receive MIDI information from, any MIDI devices or computers that have built-in BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) MIDI functionality, including Bluetooth MIDI controllers, iPhones, iPads, Mac computers etc. When you need to transmit MIDI information between two MIDI devices that don’t have built-in BLE functionality, you can use two MD1 sets: one on the transmitting end and one on the receiving end. MD1 can be used with any MIDI DIN connectors of MIDI devices that apply to the MIDI standard, such as: synthesizers, MIDI controllers, MIDI interfaces, keytars, electric wind instruments, v-accordions, electronic drums, electric pianos, electronic portable keyboards, audio interfaces and digital mixers
FEATURES
-
Ultra-compact Bluetooth wireless system for connecting MIDI devices to iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers
-
Two MD1 units can connect two non-Bluetooth MIDI devices
-
Stable wireless range of 20 m / 65 ft
The MD1 MIDI Wireless System extends the gift of wireless freedom to keyboardists and all users of MIDI gear. Taking the place of a MIDI cable, the MD1 uses 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 5 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to transmit MIDI messages between 5-pin MIDI devices and BLE-enabled Mac computers/laptops, iPads and iPhones. You can also use two MD1 units to connect two non-Bluetooth MIDI devices—and then, if you need or want, you can position those devices up to 20 meters apart!
Instant Messenger
In addition to eliminating the clutter, limitations and inconvenience of MIDI cables, the super-compact MD1 system makes it possible to connect a non-Bluetooth MIDI keyboard or controller to iPhones, iPads and Mac computers, none of which have onboard MIDI connectors. This makes it an invaluable tool for music creators using iOS and macOS software and apps.
Friendly And Easy Going
MD1 is compatible with a wide variety of MIDI gear—including keyboards and synthesizers, MIDI controllers and pads, electronic drum sets and drum machines, foot controllers, profiling guitar amplifiers, digital mixing consoles, effect rack units and even some effect pedals.
MIDI-TO-MIDI by Air
If two MD1 units are used, the system can also transmit MIDI between two non-Bluetooth MIDI devices. Use a MIDI keyboard to play sounds from a MIDI synth; trigger drum samples from an electronic drum set; send patch changes from a MIDI foot controller to a guitar modelling amp or effects unit… there are as many applications for the MD1 as there are MIDI devices!
Quick, Easy and Wide-Reaching
MD1 doesn’t require a battery or power supply; it gets its power from whatever MIDI OUT port it’s connected to. The “Main Adapter” and “Sub Adapter” connect quickly and easily; and the system’s latency is as low as 3 milliseconds when transmitting between two MD1 systems. The wireless range is an incredible 20 meters (65 feet) without obstructions.
Slave To The Rhythm
The MD1 system can be used to send MIDI clock between devices, allowing you to sync your drum machines, step sequencers and arpeggiators—wirelessly. It also supports the transfer of SysEx MIDI files.
There's An App For This
Updates to the MD1 can be made wirelessly on iOS and macOS devices using the WIDI app. The device is continuously being improved, with expanded compatibility and upgraded performance.
