Masterful Audio with PCM 192kHz, DSD 2.8/5.6MHz Recording
For recording, the DA-3000SD supports audio capture at 192 kHz for PCM as well as 2.8 and 5.6 MHz for DSD, the highest quality recording format commercially available. Based on project needs, users can select which recording method best matches the music’s characteristics and save the settings. Multiple units can be synchronized for sample-accurate recording and playback, allowing for the creation of a DSD multitrack recording environment. Recording directly to SD card media makes transportation and storage of sessions simple and easy-to-handle.

Utilizing High-Quality Audio Circuitry for AD/DA Conversion
An EI core transformer with separate windings for the digital and analog circuits is used in the power supply section, while the output audio circuit has a dual monaural configuration with two high-quality mono circuits to achieve an exceptional sonic profile. Additionally, all stages of the audio circuits have a balanced configuration to reduce noise on both input and output paths. Equipped with a TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator), the DA-3000SD’s clock generator boasts an accuracy of +/- 1ppm for digital audio processing with no jitter.

Wide range of input and output terminals
The unit is equipped with a diverse selection of input and output terminals for connection to a variety of studio equipment such as audio interfaces, microphone preamplifiers, dynamic processors, and more. Analog I/O ports are provided via XLR and RCA terminals, while PCM digital connectivity is provided through S/PDIF, RCA, coaxial, and AES/EBU connectors.. DSD digital connections are handled through the use of BNC SDIF-3 terminals.

As a Portable High-Definition DA Converter
A highly portable piece of gear, the DA-3000SD can fit in a 1U backspace and be toted from studio to studio for detailed and reliable monitoring in any environment. Plus, with its WORD clock capability, the unit can double as a high-precision master clock generator, or sync it to an external clocking device for musically correct pure phase coherent audio

As an A/D Converter/Recorder for Mastering 
By sending stereo master from a DAW and recording them with the DA-3000SD, you can capture the master sound source at a higher resolution than possible with a DAW bounce alone. To insert vintage or other outboard equipment during the mastering process, place the DA-3000SD in the signal chain after the external hardware to capture the audio coloration in all its full, high-definition beauty.

As a DSD Multitrack Recorder
Both recording and playback synchronization is possible by cascading multiple units, enabling a DSD multitrack environment. By connecting eight DA-3000SD’s, users can record up to 16 tracks at a time.

Auto File Save Function Offers Safety and Security
TASCAM’s unique Auto File Save function prevents data loss in the unforeseen event of power loss. Recorded data is automatically saved every 25 seconds, which minimizes loss when faced within unexpected hurdles.

The 128 x 64-dot OLED display provides quick access to the most needed information, while the 24-dot LED level meter allows for constant monitoring of signal at all times. 

Full Balanced Circuit with Dual Monaural Configuration
The output circuitry uses a dual monaural configuration that eliminates interference between the left and right channels, maximizing the performance of the DA-3000SD to achieve unrivaled sound quality. The D/A conversion is handled by the renowned BurrBrown PCM1795 converters, one for each channel. Other components include low-impedance capacitors and low-noise, high-precision resistors. Meticulous care was taken in selecting parts to bring the highest quality sound to the DA-3000SD.

Top-Tier Audio Quality Through High-Precision TCXO and Power Supply
In the power supply section, the EI core transformer has separate windings for both digital circuitry and operation paths for the analog audio circuits, reducing noise contamination and enabling higher-quality signals. Additionally, the clock generator is equipped with a TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator) boasting an accuracy of +/- 1ppm, providing flawless audio quality plus precise and reliable clocking.
