Outfitted with quarter-inch alnico 5 rod magnets, these high output Strat pickups deliver that huge Ritchie Blackmore Strat tone – big, mean and perfect for heavy rock.

With more than twice the power of a traditional Stratocaster single-coil, the Quarter Pound pickups will transform any Stratocaster into a mean growling beast, bring you a fat, punchy tone with plenty of top end sparkle. These high output Strat pickups will give you big, beefy chords, and single notes will jump out in a way that no other pickup can deliver. The individually hand-polished ¼” diameter alnico 5 magnets help to give it plenty of the high-end sparkle and upper midrange harmonics that make this pickup so special.

The middle pickup is RW/RP for noiseless operation in positions 2 & 4. The neck/bridge and middle pickups are available in an optional tapped variation as well, allowing you to tap into both vintage and high output tonalities with a single set. These bobbins are hand built, dipped in lacquer, then wound and wax potted for squeal free performance. We use modern ‘oval’ Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) which enables the Quarter Pound high output Strat pickups to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils.

  • Neck/Middle/Bridge position models will have the same output, wind direction and magnetic polarity.

  • Middle RwRP position (reverse wind/reverse polarity) – choose this to have a pickup that will be hum-cancelling with one of our neck or bridge models.

  • All sets, except the Jimi Hendrix signature model, come with a Middle RWRP as the Middle Pickup.

  • Tapped- High output models may have a “tap” option available. An additional lead wire is placed midway through the coil wind, allowing wiring to a push-pull pot or mini-toggle switch to give an additional vintage output level option.
