Chopin Scherzos

Frederic Chopin's 4 Scherzi are pinnacles of romantic piano art, in which the composer fills genre traditions with radically new content. They strike a wild and demonic tone - barely a trace of "joke". Robert Schumann, for example, asked himself in relation to the First Scherzo, "How serious should dress, when even the 'joke' goes on in dark veils".
