Experience 48 Amazing FlexChannels
Stereo or Mono — You Decide
Set all channel and buses to mono, stereo or even M/S while maintaining the full channel count (FX slots included) at no performance cost at all.
Superior Sound, Seamless Setup
Give musicians an immersive experience of full stereo in-ear monitoring with WING's 28 stereo busses. You can also add stereo insert effects to any channel with just a single click!
Limitless Potential
WING's flexible channel configuration adapts to your needs, offering up to 48 channels in any Mono, Stereo or M/S format.
Take Full Control
WING RACK features a control front panel on a unique swivel, allowing for fully convenient operation. Its dedicated Custom Control section, with 16 customizable layers and 3 pre-configured channel layers, is clearly labeled on a separate LCD. The large touch screen with rotary controls for intuitive parameter adjustments offers the same innovative user interface that the full-size WING console is famous for.
Finally, All the Preamps You Need
24 Midas PRO Preamps On Board
Just like the venerable Midas M and PRO series mixers, WING RACK also comes with 24 Midas PRO preamps, delivering the same sweet sound and huge dynamic range.
All the Digital I/O
It’s tiny but uncompromising. The WING RACK has exactly the same number of digital I/O as the full-size WING: AES50, USB, AoIP, StageConnect—you name it.
Your "Source" of Audio
WING stores the configuration (stereo/mono/mid-sides), gain, phantom power, along with a name, an icon, color and tags directly to every input. This combination is called a Source. You can easily edit Sources using your iPad while making the connections on stage.
Channels are automatically configured from the connected Source information and are ready to go. This enables quick setups and on-the-fly adjustments, prevents errors, and makes it easier than ever to manage WING's 380+ inputs. It’s like having your own custom toolbox, where everything you need is perfectly organized and ready to use.
Insane I/O
Literally Hundreds of Ins and Outs
382 inputs and 368 outputs on WING RACK give you the freedom to adapt to any scenario:
-
Switch between artists on the fly
-
Manage multiple play out destinations with streaming or video
-
Navigate complex live events with distributed or networked I/O
-
Use the built-in 64-track recorder for virtual sound checks or live playback
-
Connect to the 48-track USB audio interface for perfect integration with your DAW
Analog XLR/TRS Inputs
The same Midas PRO preamps as in the M32 and DL32 series provide great sound with unmatched dynamic range. The XLR/TRS combo connector allows connecting both microphone and line-level cables to the input, often removing the need for DI boxes.
StageConnect - The Future of XLR
Features 32-channel bidirectional audio transmission with sub-millisecond latency over a standard 3-pin XLR DMX cable or XLR microphone cable for short distances. The StageConnect host device provides 18W of power and control for client devices, several of which can be used in a chain.
AES50 SuperMAC
The 3 ports provide a total of 144 input and 144 output streams from external devices like digital stageboxes, personal monitoring systems, supplemental consoles, and more. The point-to-point connections don't require any network configuration, are rock-solid, and perform at exactly 6-sample latency (0.125 milliseconds).
Analog XLR Outputs
The same Midas PRO outputs as the industry-standard Midas M32 and DL32 series.
MIDI
Enhanced automation, control, and synchronization across the console and externally connected devices.
GPIO
Multi-functional and programmable connections for enhanced integration with installed equipment, such as an "on air" lamp in the studio. Programmable GPIO delays additionally allow triggering of sequential events, e.g., automatically powering up amplifier racks after the console is fully booted.
AES/EBU
Stereo in and out digital audio channels at 24-bit/48 kHz.
USB Type A
Record or play up to 4 channels to and from USB drives inserted at the top of the console.
Class-compliant USB Audio/MIDI Interface
Send and receive 48 channels to and from your DAW, and use DAW templates to control your device from WING with MCU support.
Headphone Outputs
2 high-power, low-distortion headphone outputs sharing the Main Out 7/8 signal.
Experience Total Recall
Save and recall precise FX parameters, specific channel settings, console settings, or entire shows. Whether you're working on a complex live performance or a musical theater project, WING offers an extremely comprehensive toolkit for recalling and triggering all elements of your show instantaneously, with the granularity you need.
Enjoy World-Class Effects
WING is equipped with over 80 unique effects and emulations inspired by renowned hardware like the Pultec EQ, SSL Bus Compressor, Gate/Expander, SPL Transient Designer, Neve EQ, Compressor, Gate, Focusrite ISA and D3, DBX160, LA-2A, 1176, Elysia mPressor, and Empirical Labs Distressor*. No external gear is required.
WING boasts double the effect engines and insert points compared to the X32 and utilizes 40-bit internal processing algorithms, providing greater accuracy and an expanded dynamic range.
Configure WING to Suit You
Record Up to 64 Channels
The WING LIVE card comes pre-installed and allows you to record up to 64 channels simultaneously to 2 linked SD cards, or take a pre-recorded session and do a virtual soundcheck in the venue. You can also use one 32-track SD recorder for playback and the second one for recording the performance.
Swap Out External Cards with Ease
You can easily change the WING LIVE card for a WING DANTE card, enabling full 64x64 channel Dante networking connectivity. We are also planning other expansion cards for MADI and Waves Soundgrid, for example.
Plus Another 64x64 Channels via Internal AoIP Modules
The internal AoIP (Audio over IP) modules can fit directly into the mainboard of your WING console and enable the two internal network ports for Ethernet-based audio transmission. Our retailers can also help you upgrade your existing WING or order a new WING console with your preferred card pre-installed. We currently have AoIP-Dante and AoIP-WSG (Waves Soundgrid) modules available.
StageConnect — Connect More with Less
Transfer 32 channels of 44.1kHz/48kHz and 24-bit audio to and from I/O interfaces, hubs, personal monitoring mixers, and more using just one XLR/DMX cable.
Need assistance with calculating cable lengths? Try the StageConnect Configurator app.
Use a standard XLR mic cable for short connection, like connecting your side rack or internal rack connections.
Using a regular 3-pin XLR DMX cable allows for long cable runs of over 30 m (100 feet).
The StageConnect Configurator app helps to calculate channel count, power requirements, and cable lengths for StageConnect setups. Available for Mac, PC and Linux.
